Christmas is on its way!

These are the pics of my first Christmas cards for this year.
They are the cards I taught at my class in Crafty Bride
in Kilkenny today. Hope you like them!
This card is made using a vintage santa background, crafts too 'Ivy-Corner' die-cut and the topper is from Joanna Sheens Victorian Christmas CD. The spellbinders die-cut backing the topper is the stately cirlces and plain circles, both from the grand nestabilities range.
This card is made using a lovely image of a family at the crib outside Church. The nesties are again from the spellbinders grand nestabilities range and are the grand decorative labels 1.
This card is made using an image from the new Hobby House 'Mo Manning' die-cut toppers. The left-hand ribbon border is made using the Martha Stewart Ribbon Border Punch and is layered onto another piece of backing card punched on both sides again with a Martha Stewart border punch. The die-cut used to back the topper is from the spellbinders 'resplendent rectangles'.

Card Class at 'Craftybride', Kilkenny

Here are the three cards I done at my half day class on Tuesday last at 'Craftybride' in Kilkenny. Hope you like them.....

This Baby Card would be suitable for either a boy or girl just by changing the ribbon colour. You could also use white ribbon to keep it completely neutral. The image is a Penny Parker Baby image.
This image has lovely colouring and would suit either the green and teal tones used or alternatively brown tones.
The backing paper used is from dreamtime.
This is a great card for using up scraps and can be adapted to suit any occasion.

Some Recent Cards.....

Here are some of the cards I completed recently for different occasions.....

Moreheads

Hi all, below is the image of the card I taught at the Kilkenny Cardmaking Club last night. It is made using the Crafter's Companion 'Moreheads' CD and would be suitable for any occasion although we made it for a birthday last night. The backing for the greeting topper is spellbinders 'stately circles'. The ribbon is ribbon that I've had hanging around my craft shed for years but I think it suits the card perfectly.  Hope you like it!

Ruby Wedding Anniversary

This is a nice Anniversary card and could be adapted in many colour schemes. It would also make a nice Wedding card where the names of the Bride & Groom could be added to the heart centre.
The card is made using a martha stewart punch to punch out the right-hand border and some hearts that were cut out using the e-craft. The back hearts are edged in lace and then 3d up. The white heart is added flat before the flowers were added...and a hint of glitter on the flowers of course! The hearts on the right are embellished with individual pearls as is the left-hand side of the card to define the scallop.

Workshop in Kilkenny on March 23rd

Hello to all,
I'm putting up this post today because I got a telling off at my class in 'Craftybride' in Kilkenny last Saturday when some of the ladies at the workshop gave out to me because I wasn't keeping my blog up to date with inspiration for them.  It's a compliment to hear people say that they keep an eye on my blog but not something I ever expected I suppose.  Hopefully the telling off is exactly what I needed to get me back on track with my blogging again, so here's some photo's of the cards we done on Saturday. Hope you like them.

This is a man's card can could be used as either a birthday card or also as a retirement card just to change the wording. The clock is from the Marianne die-cut range and the border is done using the tonic celtic border pattern.

This communion card is made using white and silver with just a splash of colour depending on whether it is a boy or a girl. The dies are from the crosses 2 range of spellbinders and the border is the Parisian accents spellbinders border. I think there is a lovely simplicity in the card and again could be adapted very easily to make a Christening, Wedding or Anniversary card.

This Wedding card is made using the go kreate arch die cuts.  The ivy embellishments are cut using the quickcutz long ivy border and the image is a lovely simple image, glittered on the veil to give it a nice elegant finish.
